Hey There!

At Cottage Mixes With Courtney (which is really just me in my home kitchen, with 4 kiddos running rampant in the background) we want everyone to have the ability to fill their homes with the warm and cozy smells of fresh baked/home cooked goods. Baking can be intimidating- it certainly was for me! All the separate ingredients and, honestly, it really is a science. Though I am not a scientist, I am an ex culinary student from Johnson and Wales University who worked in professional kitchens in and around Durango, CO for years before becoming a wife and mom. Falling in love with cooking was easy; almost hereditary, that came from my grandmother. But, baking I had to teach myself. I fell in love with the predictability of it (my anxious heart needs that). Plus, there is something truly therapeutic about the warm smells in the air as something delicious is baking! I want to share that with my community while also providing convenience. It is my goal to not only provide delicious home goods but also impeccable customer service. I will promptly respond to questions, comments, concerns and hopefully orders!
